I agree that it depends on the size of the company (I'm in a large company and we have a VP for logistics) but it also depends on the company culture. I'm a 'regular' Manager because our company has a flat organisation. However, I know some of our competitors are much more heirarchical and the equivalent titles there are Director. I suspect this is more of a factor in large companies.
