What you describe is not uncommon elsewhere in the World too. Reverse auctions probably have their place for some products and services, but for transport in particular, they seem to have a serious impact on the industry.
I guess we can only hope that in time the customers will realise that in fact they are under mining the whole industry, to the extent that when they need transport..........the supplier may no longer be there!
